Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine, The University of Hong Kong hosted the 198th Congregation on December 17, 2017 at Hall 3DE, Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre (HKCEC), Wan Chai.
The Ceremony was a memorable occasion for the Faculty's graduates to celebrate their joy and achievements with their fellow classmates, teachers and family members. It marked the completion of an important milestone in their study life, and signified the start of a new chapter in their life-long professional endeavour.
Professor Peter Mathieson, President and Vice-Chancellor, was the presiding officer of the Ceremony. Our Dean Professor Gabriel M Leung shared with the graduates and guests the Faculty's recent achievements and future development plans in his "State of the Faculty" address. We were also delighted to have Professor Jennifer Doudna, Professor of Molecular and Cell Biology and Chemistry, the University of California, Berkeley, as the Guest of Honour to deliver a speech on this occasion.
