Professor Gilberto Leung, Director of the School of Clinical Medicine, neurosurgeon and Clinical Professor at the University of Hong Kong (HKU), delivered a captivating talk titled “Virchow, Michelin Guide & the Uberisation of Medicine” after the HKUMAA 25th AGM on 1 August 2025. The talk highlighted the re-centering of medicine within an ever-changing social context, grounded in community, equity, and trust. Professor Leung also addressed the need for medicine to balance market-driven models with social responsibility and professional standards.
