On 5 May 2024, about 40 medical alumni and their family members visited T Park, Hong Kong's first self-sustained sludge treatment facility that showcases the concept of waste-to-energy.
The day began with a delicious seafood lunch in Lau Fau Shan, an enchanting fishing village known for its rich history and cultural heritage. The group then joined a guided tour to learn about the background and objectives of T Park, as well as the sludge treatment process and the waste-to-energy technology. They also enjoyed the scenic views of the park and its surroundings.
The visit to T Park was a delightful blend of fun and meaningful experience for the alumni and their family members, who gained a deeper understanding and appreciation of the facility and its contributions to the society and the environment.
