HKUMAA member (except Student Member) can enjoy free parking for a maximum of 3 consecutive hours per day at the Medical Faculty campus on Sassoon Road. Procedures for enjoying the parking benefit are as follows:

  1. Present your Octopus card to the reader, or insert your VISA or Mastercard into the slot when you enter the carpark.
  2. Present your membership card at any of the following locations to get a coupon:
    1. Security Counter (24-hour)
      G/F, Laboratory Block
    2. Yu Chun Keung Medical Library (library opening hours)
      LG1/F, William MW Mong Block
    3. Faculty Office (office hours)
      HKUMAA Secretariat, G/F, Daniel & Mayce Yu Administration Wing
  3. When you leave the carpark, drive directly to the vehicular exit. Please insert the coupon into the slot of the ticket machine / scan the QR code on the coupon before presenting your Octopus card to the reader, or inserting your VISA or Mastercard into the slot to settle the remaining parking fee, if any.
  4. The bar at the vehicular exit will be lifted.

Remarks:

  1. The free parking privilege at the Medical Faculty campus aims to facilitate alumni who work elsewhere to visit the Faculty and thus does not apply to student members.
  2. Availability of a parking space is on a first-come-first-served basis. The HKUMAA membership card does not guarantee availability or reservation of a parking space.
  3. If a member is unable to present his/her physical/electronic membership card, the normal parking fee (HK$30 per hour for the first 2 hours and HK$40 per hour for the third hour and thereafter) will be charged.

The free parking arrangement is valid until further notice.

 

Car Parking Privileges on the HKU Main/Centennial Campus
Due to system upgrade, the 30% parking discount on the HKU Main/Centennial Campus is currently available only for carparking in the Composite Building for HKU Graduate Credit Card holders. To avail this discount, kindly insert your HKU Graduate Credit Card at the carpark entry column for access.  

Starting from 1 Jan 2025, HKU Graduate Credit Card holders can only enjoy the 30% parking discount by using a registered Octopus Card. Please register your Octopus Card number on this form NOW. Once processed, successful applicants will be able to use their registered Octopus Card to enjoy the parking discount starting from 1 Jan 2025. Please allow at least 14 working days for processing, and you will receive a confirmation.  

It is exclusive for Graduates with these 3 types of HKU Graduate Credit Cards starting from below 8 card prefixes:

  • Visa Gold: 4552-7204-xxxx-xxxx
  • Gold MasterCard: 5408-2004-xxxx-xxxx
  • Visa Platinum: 4384-3704-xxxx-xxxx

HKUAA Ordinary Membership
Graduates who apply for Life Membership of the HKUMAA may also apply for Ordinary Membership of the HKU Alumni Association (HKUAA).

HKU Sports Card
Graduates are eligible to apply for a Sports Card to enjoy the sports facilities provided by the Centre for Sports and Exercise of HKU.

HKU Yu Chun Keung Medical Library
HKUMAA members are entitled to the access right to the HKU Yu Chun Keung Medical Library by presenting the HKUMAA membership card.
