research description

My research focuses on the development of a human tonsil organoid from tissue samples. This approach allows recapitulation of human immunity in response to in vivo pathogenic infections. Hence, my research interest is extended to using this organoid as an HIV-1 infection study model. In parallel, I am also interested in profiling HIV-infected myeloid-derived suppressor cells (MDSCs) and targeting this cell population for a more effective therapeutic against HIV-1 infection.
