Bachelor of Chinese Medicine (BChinMed)

The total number of intake for the BChinMed programme is 24* in 2019/2020.

In addition to satisfying the University Entrance Requirements as listed at, candidates for admission shall attain at least Level 3 in two electives, one of which must be:

  1. Biology or
  2. Chemistry or
  3. Physics or
  4. Combined Science or
  5. Integrated Science

Preference is given to those who list the BChinMed programme as a Band A choice.  Candidates may be selected for an interview to be held in June and July.  Interviews are designed to assess the candidates’ suitability for the programme, and will take into account their motivation, aptitude, communication skills and general social awareness.

Selection for admission is based on the candidates’ academic performance in HKDSE and their performance at interviews.


Overseas students or local students who are applying for admission on the strength of examination results other than HKDSE should submit their applications direct to the University through the Non-JUPAS Admissions Scheme.  Please visit the webpage for the range and level of qualifications accepted by the University as well as the subject requirements for the BChinMed programme.  Candidates applying for the programme should have a working knowledge of Cantonese, with an adequate proficiency in the Chinese language.

Those who list the BChinMed programme as their first choice will be considered.  Interviews will normally be held in December and February.
