Oral Assessment Guidelines
Oral Presentation Assessment Guidelines
- Each student will be given 8 minutes for presentation and 2 minutes for discussion.
- Each Adjudicator will independently give a score out of 100 to each presenter on the marking sheet provided using the following scheme as a guide:

- Adjudicators are advised to make reference to the following general guidelines on the overall quality of the presentation in determining the mark to be given:
80 and above |
Outstanding |
- excellent in all aspects |
70-79 |
Excellent |
- good to excellent in oral presentation and slides presentation, with only minor deficiencies in certain aspects |
60-69 |
Good |
- good overall, with some weakness in certain aspects, especially presentation skills |
50-59 |
Satisfactory |
- generally up to standard; having been able to demonstrate basic understanding and knowledge of the subject matter, but with some unclear points |
Below 50 |
Barely satisfactory |
- ideas presented are not clear; failure to demonstrate basic understanding in the subject matter; poor presentation skills |
- The top three presenters will be selected for the Best Presentation, 1st and 2nd Runner-up Prize and will be awarded a trophy and a cash prize.
