Learning outcomes

On completion of these courses, students will be able to:

  • describe the major changes in reproductive hormones in the females.
  • state the assessment and principles of management of patients with subfertility.
  • appraise the use of semen analysis and sperm function tests.
  • select the appropriate methods for insemination and selection of embryos.
  • explain the approaches to improve embryo development in vitro.
  • describe the methods of gametes/embryos cryopreservation.
  • describe the recent development in assisted reproduction technology.
  • appraise the running of an assisted reproduction laboratory.
  • perform standard semen analysis, mouse embryo culture and basic micromanipulation skill.
