Objective and Significance:
Investigate novel therapeutic strategies for EBV-positive lymphoid and epithelial cancers: discovering action of different compounds in inducing lytic cycle of EBV in cancer cells, affecting synergistic killing and dissecting mechanistic pathways of such events.
Research Plan and Methodology:
The Chiang lab has established an extended panel of in-vitro experimental assays in testing viral lytic cycle induction and apoptosis. In-vivo testing of investigative compounds in animal tumour models is also set up.
