The HA Central Commissioned Training Program (CCTP) 2024/25 was held from 4-6 October 2024. The programme featured a series of lectures, case discussions and cadaveric workshops, providing the participants with comprehensive knowledge about new technologies in knee surgery.
The first lecture focused on trauma, covering topics such as distal femur plating, nail and nail-plate constructs for distal femur fractures, management of Hoffa fractures, and approaches to the proximal tibia. The second session, on joint replacement surgery, addressed advancements in robotic knee replacement surgeries, personalised alignment in total knee arthroplasty, challenges in revision knee surgeries, and the classification and treatment of periprosthetic joint infections.
The third session, on sports medicine, included topics such as tips and techniques for anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction. The programme targeted orthopaedic surgeons, doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists and prosthetist orthotists working in the Hospital Authority, enhancing their knowledge and skills in various aspects of orthopaedic surgery.
