The ‘Hong Kong Valves 2024’ conference was held from 19 to 20 October 2024 at the HKUMed campus. The event featured plenary lectures from both overseas and local experts. The Chalk Talk Series, presented by renowned professionals, delivered concise insights into valvular heart diseases in a dynamic format. Live cases from leading centres in Hong Kong and around the world were showcased, highlighting best practices and advanced techniques using innovative devices from both the East and the West.
Additionally, the conference offered interactive workshops, including a Bioskills Workshop, focusing on aortic root enlargement and valve replacement, an Echo Workshop: From A to Z, a Cardiac Catheterization Skills Workshop for Surgeons and Cardiologists, a Vascular Closure Device Workshop, a 3D ICE Workshop, and an LAAO-PFA Workshoр.
In the Electrosurgery Classroom and LAAO and Structural Electrophysiology Pavilion, experts in cardiovascular medicine guided participants through cutting-edge techniques step by step using bench models, all in real-time with audience participation. Clinicians and scientists from around the world also shared challenging cases and scientific abstracts during the event.
