HKU School of Nursing 30th Anniversary Celebration Kick-off Ceremony

At the Opening Ceremony of the 14th Hong Kong International Nursing Forum, 2024 Sino US Nursing Forum, and 2nd Greater Bay Area Nursing Conference on 6 December 2024, a special and unforgettable kick-off event marked the beginning of the 2025 celebration, as the School prepared to celebrate its 30th anniversary of nursing education.

To express gratitude for the outstanding foundation laid down by our predecessors, the School was honoured to welcome former School Heads, Professor Sophia Chan and Professor Agnes Tiwari, who played a significant role in the School's strategic development. Together with our serving School Director, Professor Chia-Chin Lin, they unveiled the anniversary logo in a simple yet meaningful lighting ceremony. The 30th anniversary theme is ‘Three Decades of Nursing Leadership: Excellence, Momentum, Collegiality’. The anniversary logo symbolises Excellence, focusing on preparing students for global leadership and research excellence: Momentum, embracing scientific evidence and innovation for top-quality teaching and research in healthcare; and Collegiality, valuing collaboration to overcome challenges and create a positive impact.
