The U21 Health Sciences Group Nursing and Midwifery Discipline Group Research Postgraduate Symposium 2024 was successfully held at The University of Hong Kong-Shenzhen Hospital on 7 December 2024. The event brought together 15 research postgraduates from nine prestigious universities worldwide. Hosted by the HKU School of Nursing, the hybrid symposium was accessible online and attracted over 100 registrants, providing a platform for emerging scholars to showcase innovative research while facilitating lively exchanges of ideas and collaboration. Professor Roinah Ngunyulu welcomed the attendees, and Professor Chia-Chin Lin concluded the event. Outstanding presentations were recognized by esteemed adjudicators from Fudan University, The University of Birmingham, and the University of Hong Kong.  The symposium celebrated academic excellence through concise three-minute presentations showcasing impactful research. Three Outstanding Presentation Awards were given to Ms Nattaporn Ontrakrai (The University of Birmingham), Ms Ying Yao, and Ms Fen Ye (both from the University of Hong Kong). The event emphasised nurturing intellectual growth, fostering collaboration, and developing future leaders in nursing and midwifery globally. The participants left inspired and motivated to enact positive change in their respective fields, setting the stage for ongoing success and evolution in nursing and midwifery.
