HKU Body Donation Day – Lingering Love was successfully held on 8 March 2025. We were delighted to welcome approximately 300 participants from diverse age groups and ethnic backgrounds, including members of minority communities, to this meaningful event. It featured a range of activities, including an introduction to the embalming process, tours of the anatomy lab, reflective sessions on life and mortality, and interactive experiences with advanced virtual reality (VR) technology. This year, in collaboration with other HKU units, such as the Medical Ethics and Humanities Unit (MEHU) and the Critical Care Medicine Unit, as well as our NGO partners, we introduced new activities that provided participants with deeper insights into the fragility of life and the crucial role of body donation in advancing medical education and research.
