This student-led event, themed ‘Integrative Multiomics Approaches: Unveiling the Complexity of Biological Systems’, provided a valuable platform for students to present their research findings and exchange thoughts with peers and faculty. A total of 132 students showcased their research projects through oral and poster presentations, covering a wide range of topics, including genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics, and epigenomics. The symposium featured keynote speeches from distinguished researchers: Professor Akihiro Ohashi (National Cancer Center, Japan), Professor Michael Häusser (HKUMed, Hong Kong), and Professor Theodore Alexandrov (University of California San Diego, United States). The event cultivated a spirit of unity within the academic community and highlighted the pioneering studies and research projects conducted at HKUMed.
