The Joint HKU–NCIS Cancer Genetics Workshop aimed to educate local doctors on the critical role of cancer genetics in hereditary gynaecological cancer syndromes. Understanding cancer genetics is essential for the prevention and management of gynaecological cancers.
The workshop featured distinguished experts, including Professor Lee Soo-chin (Programme Director), Dr Samuel Ow (Programme Co-director), Dr Robert Walsh (Consultant), and Ms Ong Pei Yi (Senior Cancer Genetics Counsellor) from the National University Cancer Institute, Singapore. Joining them were members of the Hong Kong team, Professor Karen Chan and Professor Tse Ka-yu, who shared their expertise to enhance participants' knowledge.
Attendees included clinical oncologists and gynaecologic oncologists from Hong Kong and Shenzhen, China. The workshop provided a comprehensive learning experience through case studies and hands-on practical sessions.
