Who Are We

June Lee, Psy.D., RPT-S
Clinical Psychologist

Hi, my name is June. I am a registered Clinical Psychologist in Hong Kong and a licensed Clinical Psychologist in New York. I believe there is great power in interpersonal interaction and it does not matter rather it is with a counsellor, a friend or a teacher. Adjusting to university life could be challenging; especially for students in HKUMed. Therefore, it is important to find people who can support you along the way, and they should be people that could make you feel you are being heard and understood. I use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Group Therapy and Play Therapy in my clinical work and I am excited to be able to provide support and see students grow through their time in HKUMed.

Feeding the mind, the soul, and the body is important, whether it’d be watching movies, reading books, enjoying mouth savouring foods or having stimulating conversations with others. As a registered Social Worker in HK and Licensed Clinical Social Worker in California, I have worked in mental health agencies in Los Angeles providing diagnostic assessments and psychotherapy with Narrative, Psychodynamic, and Cognitive Behavioural strategies. I wish that my experience in mental health would allow me to support students who come through my door.

Everyone has a story, let me hear yours.

Life is short, live without regrets. As a Registered Social Worker, I hope to spend most of my time accompanying youth in their journey of growth. I previously worked at secondary school and integrated youth service center. I hope that my practices in youth and knowledge on mental health would allow me to offer comprehensive services to students at HKUMed.
