EY1920 Year Book

203 202 Semester 1: Elective Courses at HKU Course Code Course Name BSTC1004 Introduction to Buddhism BSTC2002 Life and Buddhism EASC1401 Blue planet ENVS1401 Introduction to environmental science SOCI1001 Introduction to sociology I really enjoyed ENVS1401 as the lectures were interactive and fun. We also had the chance to go on a morning dolphin- watching trip and I was really fortunate to have been able to see some Chinese White dolphins! EASC1401 was a really demanding course with quite heavy workload. We went to an overnight field camp at the Lai Chi Chong campsite where we visited different rock types and the EcoPark to learn more about the land and rock history. The scenery at Lai Chi Chong was quite breathtaking. Semester 2: Exchange Programme at the University of Sydney (USYD) Course Code Course Name AMST1202 Hashtag America: Media, Technology, Industry BIOS1172 Biological Aspects of Ageing EDGU1003 Diet and Nutrition for Health and Sport EDGU1004 Young People, Sex and Sexual Health Sedimentary Rock: Pre-existing rocks that have weathered and compacted over time Igneous Rock: Rocks formed from cooling of lava or magma The Quadrangle at the USYD was both a famous tourist spot and favorite resting spot for students. It was said that certain scenes from the Harry Potter movies were taken at this site. As a Victorian Gothic Revival Architecture, it certainly was eye- catching. The Darling Harbour was where I came to learn more about Australians’ living style and cultures. While Hong Kong is a fast- paced city, Australians’ way of living is rather slow and carefree. They stroll along the harbor during leisure time, enjoying the beautiful scenery and building structures on either side, and also appreciate the street performances lined along the harbourside. EDGU1003: Athletes differ in their nutrition requirements based on their exercise intensity and duration. MBBS Enrichment Year 2019/20 Wong Ting Wai Sem 1 < IC - Elective Courses at HKU, Hong Kong >; Sem 2 < IC - HKUWW Exchange Programme at T he University of Sydney, Australia > The enrichment year provides me with a valuable opportunity to explore knowledge and cultures outside of textbook and the medical field. I was able to take courses that have interested me, such as sports nutrition and environmental science, and could even venture into a foreign country to have a taste of its learning experience. My enrichment year was very enjoyable and worth remembering.
