Love did unite us regardless of races and languages! Introduction A study of constructed PD1-fused DNA vaccine against SARS-CoV-2 My Role • Gross production and quality control of plasmids for injection • Processing and preparation of samples collected from mice for analysis Construction of plasmids Two plasmids of pVax DNA vector encoding SARS-CoV-2 S306-589 antigen, with or without PD1, were constructed. Study Setting Groups of mice were immunized with constructed plasmids with control. On the 20 th day after immunization, mice were sacrificed with sera and splenocytes collected for immune response analysis. Immune Response Analysis Result • Both constructed DNA vaccines have enhanced specific antibody production and T lymphocyte development targeting SARS-CoV-2 RBD • PD1-fused DNA vaccine (PD1-COVID19-RBD) has a stronger enhancing power compared to the constructed without PD1 (COVID19-RBD) MBBS Enrichment Year 2019/20 Ng Chun Yin Sem 1 < IC - HKUWW Exchange Programme at University of R eading, UK >; Sem 2 < R A - D evelo p ment of Novel Vaccine Candidates Against COVI D- 1 9 at D e p artment of M icrobiology, HKU, Hong Kong >
