The development of Aß and tau radiotracers has opened up in-vivo PET imaging possibilities for the evaluation of tau spatial deposition patterns both cross-sectionally and longitudinally. Abstract Research in tau imaging in the past decade has shown promising potential for future clinical applications. Close associations between flortaucipir ([ 18 F]AV1451) uptake and Braak stages, clinical phenotypes and grey matter atrophy in AD subjects are suggested. It is expected that a more comprehensive comparison between tau, Aß, brain atrophy and cognition can broaden understandings about AD pathophysiology. Further validation with post-mortem studies may enable flortaucipir to become an effective biomarker for AD diagnosis, classification and prognosis . Laboratory work - Exploratory analysis of Alzheimer’s Disease Neuroimaging Initiative (ADNI) database: clustering and principal component analyses - Uses of SPSS, Freesurfer and Matlab in neuroimaging MBBS Enrichment Year 2019/20 Mak Chiu Yu Clarice Sem 1 < IC - HKUWW Exchange Programme at University of Glasgow, UK >; Sem 2 < R A - Association between MR I brain atro p hy and tau PE T imaging ([ 1 8F]- AV1 45 1 ) p atterns in Al z heimer ' s D isease at Im p erial College M emory R esearch Centre, UK > Mak Chiu Yu Clarice Mak Tsz Chung Semester 1 Exchange in NUS Semester 2 Research Attachment Courses taken in NUS: 1. Complementary medicine 2. The nature of language 3. Natural disaster 4. Introduction to global health Summary: In this 4-month exchange, what Singapore impress me the most is the warm hospitality. Though citizens in Singapore are from diverse cultural backgrounds, they are all willing to lend a helping hand to foreigners. The local students proactively taught about their local cultures and brought me all over Singapore despite their heavy schoolwork. Among all courses I took, I particularly like the Complementary Medicine and Introduction to Global Health courses. They taught me about another pathway to treat diseases besides conventional western medicine and gave me a glance at the Singaporean public health system. My local tour guides! :) We are planning for the next trip in the recess week! Prospective Study on Postural Change of Intraocular Pressure(IOP) among Normal and Glaucoma Patients Location : Grantham Hospital Coordinator : Dr Jasper K.W. Wong Summary: In this 4-month RA in Grantham Hospital, I learnt a lot from Dr Wong, ranging from knowledge regarding glaucoma and other eye diseases to communication skills with other medical staff. Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 outbreak, our patient recruitment was forced to come to a halt. Yet, we still got enough data for analysis. This research was about investigating the effects of adopting a supine position on the intraocular pressure among glaucoma and non- glaucoma patients. Though this research had been carried out before, it was still a challenge to me. This is the tonometer we use to measure intraocular pressure throughout this RA.
