EY1920 Year Book

139 138 During 2019-2020, I pursued a minor in Kinesiology at the School of Public Health at HKU. I took various courses studying human physiology mechanisms and exercise mechanics from a micro to a macro level. This includes: Exercise Biomechanics, Biological Basis of Health and Exercise and Exercise Physiology etc. In fact some of the others were even linked to what I studied in preclinical lectures. For example, in the course Exercise and Chronic Diseases, the lecturer explained how exercise is one of the best treatments for chronic diseases like diabetes and cardiovascular heart diseases. The links drawn between exercise and diseases in my minor courses were really interesting.
