HKU EYE CENTRE INAUGURAL REPORT

Supported by the HKU Teaching Development Grant 2020 (Principal Investigator: Dr. Joseph Chan), an interdisciplinary program was set up to promote collaboration between medical students and biomedical engineering students to address the unmet needs of visually impaired persons (VIPs). Through this capstone experience, students have enriched their understanding of common eye diseases and their impact on patients’ quality of life, identifying real-life challenges from patients’ perspective. 5.
