The Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine Consortium (SCRMC) at the University of Hong Kong (HKU), Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine was established in 2010 with a mission to build an internationally renowned, highly-specialized academic program in Regenerative Medicine that functions as a stem cell hub for attracting regional and foreign talents. It is currently composed of a diverse group with more than 150 Faculty members and trainees from 16 Departments at HKU, with programmatic arrangements and collaborations with internationally renowned institutions such as Harvard University, Karolinska Institutet, Johns Hopkins University, Stanford University, etc. Opportunities have been given to various high school, undergraduate, post-graduate as well as post-doctoral students for spending time at these world-class institutions to engage in stem cell research.

As you might gather from the above description, a vision of ours is to foster the field by offering excellent training opportunities and education to nurture the next-generation of scientists, clinicians and academicians. To raise the public awareness about stem cells and regenerative medicine, and how stem cell research can benefit the future mankind, the SCRMC is proud to present the "Stem Cell Knowledge Exchange Program: From the Scientific Cutting Edge to Experience" (幹細胞知識交流計劃 - 體驗科學頂尖領域), a targeted program for secondary school students funded by the HKU Knowledge Exchange Program.
