Call for Abstracts

Abstract Submission Procedures

All participants are invited to submit abstracts in either poster or oral format for presentation at the Symposium. Please refer to the following guidelines for submission:

• Submitted materials should not be previously published.
• All abstracts must be written in English, Times New Roman in point 12 and within 800 words.
• The objectives, methods, results and conclusions should be described. One figure or table may be included, though at the expense of the total number of words.
• Confirmation of acceptance of abstracts will be communicated to the Presenting Author by 17 February 2017. The exact schedule of shortlisted presentations at the Symposium will be communicated to the Presenting Author by 28 February 2017.
• All accepted abstracts will be integrated and printed in the Programme Book.
• Free registration will be arranged for all presenting authors if their abstracts are accepted for oral or poster presentation.
• The Presenting Author, who is below the position of Assistant Professor or equivalent, is eligible to participate in the Young Investigator Awards Competition for oral / poster presentations. The Young investigator Awards and Outstanding Abstract Prizes will be awarded for the best oral / poster presentations.

Note:  The deadline of submission is 10 February 2017.  Abstract sent in by fax will NOT be accepted.

Young Investigator Awards

Prizes each for the oral and poster presentations will be awarded for the outstanding presentations by young researchers.  The presenting author, who is below the position of Assistant Professor or equivalent, should indicate if they wish to have their abstracts considered for the Award.  Shortlisted finalists will be requested to make presentations for the adjudicators to review at the Symposium.
