Abstract Submission Procedures

All participants are invited to submit abstracts in either poster or oral format for presentation at the Symposium. Please refer to the following guidelines for submission:

  1. Submitted material should not be previously published.
  2. Please prepare your abstract by using the abstract form and save it as MS Word file.   
  3. All abstracts must be written in English, Times New Roman in point 12 and within 800 words.
  4. Authorship: initials followed by family name, and underline the presenting author (please also list the institution(s) of the authors)
  5. The objectives, methods, results and conclusions should be described. One figure or table may be included, though at the expense of the total number of words.
  6. Confirmation of acceptance of abstracts will be communicated to the Presenting Author by 18 February 2015. The exact schedule of shortlisted presentations at the Symposium will be communicated to the Presenting Author by 27 February 2015.
  7. All presenting authors will enjoy an exemption of registration fee if their abstracts are accepted for oral or poster presentation.
  8. The Presenting Author, who is below the position of Assistant Professor or equivalent, is eligible to participate in the Young Investigator Awards Competition.

Abstract sent in by fax will not be accepted.

Young Investigator Awards

Prizes each for the oral and poster presentations will be awarded for the outstanding presentations by young researchers. Authors should refer to Note 8 of the above Abstract Submission Procedures for their eligibility and indicate on the abstract form if they wish to have their abstracts considered for the Award. Shortlisted finalists will be requested to make presentations for the adjudicators to review at the Symposium.
