HKUMed is committed to advancing knowledge, professional development and lifelong learning. The Faculty offers 16 taught postgraduate (TPg) programmes through its Schools and Departments, enabling students and professionals to deepen their expertise, acquire specialised skills and pursue their academic and career goals.
Programme curricula are regularly reviewed and enhanced to keep pace with developments in their respective fields, taking into account input from relevant professionals, stakeholders and graduates. More than 1,500 students are enrolled in our TPg programmes in the 2026-27 academic year.
The Faculty launched 3 new programmes in the 2026-27 academic year in response to emerging needs in healthcare, biomedical innovation and medical technology:
- Master of Biomedical Innovation (MBioInno)
- Master of Community Health Care (MCHC)
- Master of Clinical Research and Product Development (MCRPD)
Financial support is available to eligible students in selected programmes through Entrance Scholarships/Hong Kong Future Talents Scholarship Scheme for Advanced Studies:
- Doctor of Nursing (DNurs)
- Master of Medical Sciences (MMedSc)
- Master of Nursing (MNurs)
- Master of Public Health (MPH)
- Master of Science in Nursing [MSc(Nurs)]
- Master or Research in Medicine (MRes[Med])
Qualifications awarded upon completion of the following programmes have been approved by the Hong Kong Medical Council as quotable qualifications:
- Master of Medical Sciences (MMedSc)
- Master of Public Health (MPH)
- Master or Research in Medicine (MRes[Med])
- Postgraduate Diploma in Infectious Diseases (PDipID)
