Health Policy Evaluation and Economic Modelling

This area of research focuses on evaluating health policy and health care services to improve population health. Research methods include analysing large-scale individual-level electronic health record data on non-communicable diseases, modelling public health policy interventions on disease burden, and a clinical trial of incentives framed around behavioural economics. Current projects include evaluating public health policies (such as alcohol and tobacco), the indirect impact of COVID-19 disruptions to health services on population health, and health economics and outcomes research on new services.
