HKUMed is proud of its reputation as a leader in medical and healthcare education in Asia. As part of our drive to be at the forefront of education, we were the first medical school in Asia to adopt a system-based curriculum that is student-centred and takes a problem-based approach to learning.
By implementing this innovative approach, we are able to achieve our aims to equip our students with skills and knowledge whilst also helping them to develop into humane and ethical healthcare professionals. The success of our curriculum has set a standard for the region, with other disciplines and institutions following our lead.
At HKUMed, we have more than 390 full-time teaching staff across the Faculty's schools and departments. Students also have access to research laboratories and various state-of-the-art facilities which are provided to meet different teaching and research needs.
