The School of Biomedical Sciences held its 2018 SBMS Research Day on December 14, 2018 with over 150 participants. The event provided an excellent opportunity for overseas experts and local researchers to interact. Six leading overseas scientists delivered talks, including Professor Patrick Tam, The University of Sydney, Australia; Professor Samuel I Stupp, Northwestern University, USA; Professor Chi-Chung Hui, University of Toronto, Canada; Professor Robin Lovell-Badge, The Francis Crick Institute, UK; Professor Eric C.W. So, King’s College London, UK; and Professor Patrick Yizhi Cai, The University of Manchester, UK, while five local speakers were also invited to deliver talks. A total of 27 research postgraduates presented their research projects at the poster session and received valuable feedback and insights from the overseas experts.
