COVID-19 is the latest indicator that a global, multi-sectoral, and multidisciplinary approach to public health is needed. Understanding issues, such as: the economic development of nations; the need for better health systems; displaced populations and inequitable conditions; the environment; and multilateral dialogues, are essential areas that affect global health. These are in addition to understanding traditional foundations including diseases and epidemiological methods.
HKUMed is committed to a forward-leaning, interdisciplinary approach to its public health education and real-world outreach programmes. HKUMed is now seeking high-calibre scientists and scholars who have a global outlook, expertise and experience and a passion for bridging academic and real-world concerns.
