140 for 140: Great Minds for Grand Challenges

Strategic Area: Structural, Synthetic & Computational Biology for Biomedicine

HKUMed has generated an enormous amount of bulk and single cell omic data of human cells/organs and from animal models of human diseases, with the support from the Centre for PanorOmic Sciences (CPOS). With the forthcoming addition of the highest resolution cryogenic electron microscopy (cryo-EM), we are geared to investigate molecular interactions at an unprecedented level, detailing changes and consequences from precise molecular editing.

HKUMed is now seeking for expertise complementing the critical mass in structural, synthetic, and computational biology to take our research to the next level, translating biomedical findings to clinical applications for disease diagnosis, treatment and prevention.
