HKUMAA Spring Dinner 2013
To celebrate the Year of the Snake, HKUMAA organised its Spring Dinner on February 22, 2013. Over 180 alumni, their families and friends attended the event. The evening was filled with festive ambience and warm sharing among different generations of members of our HKU medical family. Another highlight of the Spring Dinner was the lucky draw, in which the Executive Committee members generously contributed over 30 gifts.
Following the overwhelming responses from our medical alumni at the dinner talk about the HKU-Shenzhen hospital in August 2012, a special visit was arranged on January 13, 2013 for our alumni to explore this new teaching hospital of HKU. More than 80 alumni participated in the visit and enjoyed together a lunch gathering in Shenzhen. With the support of the HKU China Affairs Office, a group of hospital representatives introduced to our alumni the latest development of this new teaching hospital, including its well-designed infrastructure, management practices, as well as future opportunities and challenges.
