About the speaker: Professor Yuhong Xu obtained her BS in Electrical Engineering from Peking University in 1990, and PhD in Biophysical Sciences from State University of New York at Buffalo in 1996. She had been a postgraduate researcher at the School of Pharmacy in University of California San Francisco, a post-doctoral researcher at Chrion Corporation (now part of Novartis AG), and a senior scientist at Merck Research Laboratories, before returning to China in 2000. She joined Shanghai Jiaotong University (SJTU) and was appointed as the Assistant Dean and then the Associate Dean of its newly founded School of Pharmacy. Currently she is Head of the Molecular Pharmaceutics Lab in the School of Pharmacy and the Director of Molecular Imaging in SJTU Med-X Research Institute.
